Ian Francis was Born in Belize and moved to Chicago. He grew up on the south side of Chicago where his hobbies are Soccer and Reading. He attended Gage Park High School on the south side where he learned many new skill such as professionalism, team work, and the importance of communication. Following high school he worked various jobs where he developed his carpentry skill. He discovered that he wanted some hands on work when it came to his future. First he joined the Army National Guard with the purpose of furthering his education. Then following his training was looking for a way to advance his future goals. Finally he joined Year Up which offered him the new skill training that he wanted as well as providing him with a way to further his education. Ian is now a Year Up student with a new skill set of professionalism and Information Technology.
